In 2007 the Bradford Bulls celebrated the centenary of the club. They competed in Super League XII as well as the 2007 Challenge Cup.

Bulls new signing David Solomona orchestrated a tense opening 'engage Super League' win for the Bradford Bulls over the Huddersfield Giants. Bradford Bulls defeated Huddersfield Giants 18-14. In round 2, Bradford played Warrington Wolves with new boy Michael Platt grabbing an impressive hat-trick of tries as Bradford Bulls staged a magnificent recovery to make it two opening wins in the engage Super League this season. The score was 36-20. Bradford played Wigan Warriors at Grattan Stadium. This was the first game back at Grattan Stadium since the departures of Brian Noble and Stuart Fielden. Bradford won by 32-28 in another narrow victory. Lesley Vainikolo scored 3 tries against Wigan Warriors as he did in 2004 and captain Paul Deacon scored his 2,000th point as the Bulls made it three wins out of three to top the table.
Bradford Travelled to St Helens RLFC , Bradford's brave fight back fell short as St Helens RLFC shrugged off their poor start to the engage Super League season with a dazzling first quarter which set them on their way to 32 - 22 victory against league leaders. Bradford got back to winning ways by beating Salford 56-10, with Michael Platt put in a Man of the Match performance grabbing his second hat-trick of the season as Bradford climbed to the top of Super League. Bradford then faced Harlequins RL in a topsy turvey game but Bradford amanged to gain the win by 36-22. French side Catalans Dragons shocked Bradford at Odsal by running out victors 29-22 in a game that Shontayne Hape suffered an injury which meant he would be out until round 27. Their Carnegie Challenge Cup campaign began with a home tie against National League side Castleford Tigers in the 4th Round. After a tense match the Bulls ran out 24-16 winners. Bradford now faced a trip to Belle Vue to face fellow Super League club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the 5th Round.
Bradford Faced Leeds Rhinos in the first of the Easter fixtures for long periods Bradford Dominated play and looked set to defeat the Rhinos thanks to tries from Marcus St Hilaire and Lesley Vainikolo, but a Scott Donald try two minutes from secured a win for the Rhinos the score was 14-18 to Leeds. Next up was Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Easter Monday it was Bradford Bulls second-rower David Solomona first game back at belle Vue since his controversial move to odsal helped condemn his old side to a second engage Super League defeat in four days, Bradford ran out winners 36-22. Next game was against engage Super League new boys Hull KR. Andy Lynch and Iestyn Harris both crossed twice as the Bulls cruised to an emphatic 52-22 victory. Bradford second game against a Hull in a week was against Hull F.C,Bradford produced a powerful second half performance to come away from the KC Stadium with the 2 engage Super League points in their back pocket, celebrating Steve McNamara’s year in charge with a return to the top of the table the score was 22 - 32. The Bulls posted six tries in a tremendous team performance which was all the more credible after they trailed three times during the tie. The last game of April was againat Warrington Wolves, Super League's leading tryscorer Michael Platt kept up his scoring streak as Bradford Bulls beat Warrington Wolves 36-24 at the Grattan Stadium. The full-back scored two of his side's six tries to notch his 11th and 12th tries of the season at a ratio of one try per game. The result kept Bradford level with Leeds Rhinos at the top of Super League, but leaves Wolves struggling at the bottom of the table after their seventh defeat of the season. Despite the loss of skipper Paul Deacon for the entire second half, Bradford pulled away from the visitors in a final quarter in which they scored three decisive tries. o the 30th April 2007 Steve McNamara was appointed Great Britain assistant coach to Tony Smith
Bradford faced Leeds Rhinos, on the 6th May 2007, cloud of controversy overshadowed an otherwise outstanding weekend at the Millennium Stadium as Leeds snatched a dramatic last-second win over the Bradford Bulls in the most bizarre of circumstances, as the Millennium Magic weekend ended with a 42-38 win for the Rhinos. Kevin Sinfield's attempt to kick a match-tying penalty in the dying seconds, re-bounded off the upright and Jordan Tansey was on hand to score the match-winner. But the Leeds player appeared to be in an offside position when the kick was taken, in any case the penalty should not have been given for an offside decision moments before, two refereeing errors that brought an otherwise magnificent contest to an unfortunate conclusion. The fact that Match Referee, Steve Ganson, had gone to the Video Referee eight times previously in the match and chose not to on the game's decisive play can only go down as an error in judgement. The controversy aside, the match was a try-fest to the delight of the Millennium Magic crowd, with the Rhinos out-scoring their fierce local rivals seven tries to six after being behind throughout the second half. After the Match Steve Ganson admitted having made mistakes, which lead to a call from Bradford Bulls Chairman Peter Hood for the points to be awarded to Bradford Bulls. In May 2007 one of the greatest wingers to play for the Bulls Lesley Vainikolo joined Gloucester RFC, Bulls signed 24-year-old Tame Tupou from 2006 NRL champions Brisbane Broncos as Les's replacement. Bradford Bulls played Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Carnegie Challenge Cup 5th Round, Lesley Vainikolo put in a Man of the Match performance and scored two crucial tries to edge the Bulls into the Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-finals with a hard-fought 14 points to 4 victory against a dogged Wakefield Trinity Wildcats side. Bradford played Huddersfield next, Huddersfield Giants grabbed a first ever Super League victory over Bradford Bulls in some style, with a dominant 36-12 victory at the Galpharm Stadium on Friday night. The Bulls headed to Huddersfield on the back of 27 successive league victories over their opponents, who had not got the better of their more illustrious rivals since 1972. If ever the hosts had a chance though it was on Friday, with Huddersfield going into the match on the back of eight straight victories, while they welcomed a Bradford side missing seven regulars through injury and suspension. Last game on May was against Harlequins RL. Lesley Vainikolo’s hat-trick helped Bradford Bulls complete the double over Harlequins RL and keep the pressure on Leeds Rhinos and St Helens at the top of the engage Super League table with a 44 points to 18 victory at the Grattan Stadium, Odsal.
Bulls Faced Catalans Dragons wanting revenge for their defeat in March, Bradford moved back within two points of top spot in Super League after a hard-fought 28-20 win over Les Catalans. The Bradford Bulls had been highly determined to avenge their recent engage Super League defeat and the motivation was evident right from the start with a clinical performance of controlled aggression and free flowing rugby to brush aside a disappointing Huddersfield Giants in a one-sided Carnegie Challenge Cup quarter-final at the Grattan Stadium, Odsal, They trashed Huddersfield 52-22, Tame Tupou made his début in this game. The Bulls faced a tough schedule in June they beat Hull F.C. 34-8 in round 17,the game included 4 tries from Terry Newton, the game was Lesley Vainikolo's last at Grattan Stadium he didn't score a try, but managed to kick a memorable goal. Then went on to revenge their defeat in Cardiff by beating Leeds Rhinos 38-14 it was also Lesley Vainikolos last game with the Bulls. It was announced in June that Ian Henderson would be going to play for the New Zealand Warriors on a two year deal.
Bradford played Wigan Warriors at JJB, and a match-winning performance from two-try Australian centre Phil Bailey inspired Wigan Warriors to produce arguably their best performance of the season to claim a 25 points to 18 victory over the Bradford Bulls at the JJB Stadium. Bradford Bulls warmed up for their Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-final against St Helens with a hard-fought 10-4 victory at Odsal on Friday night. A try from Marcus St Hilaire and 3 goals from Paul Deacon secured the win in slippery conditions. Bradford then lost to Salford 14-10, where the Bulls produced a stuttering and ill disciplined performance ahead Challenge Cup Semi Final with St Helens. In this month Ben Harris signed a one year deal to play for North Queensland Cowboys from 2008. The Bulls were docked two Super League competition points when an independent panel found that the Bradford Bulls club had breached the Salary Cap by four per cent. The points deduction takes immediate effect and applies to the 2007 season and therefore the current engage Super League competition table. The Bradford Bulls bowed out of the 2007 Carniegie Challenge Cup Competition as holders St Helens took a 14 points to 35 victory to secure a fifth Challenge Cup final appearance in eight years. Saints hooker Keiron Cunningham produced a man-of-the-match performance on his 400th appearance for his club to help them to a clinical six-try triumph and confirm their return to Wembeley Stadium. Beaten by Bradford in an Odsal mudbath a fortnight earlier, Saints revelled in the summer sunshine at the Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield and produced some scintillating rugby league to which the Bulls had no answer. in this game Leon Pryce was banned for 3 games squessing Sam Bugess's Ball's.
Bradford Played Hull KR, whose record as the side with the worst home record in engage Super League continued at Craven Park as the Bulls eased to a 10 points to 28 victory. Twelve-man Bradford overcame a gritty Wakefield comeback and kept the pressure on engage Super League's top two after controversial referee Steve Ganson marked his return to the Grattan Stadium, Odsal by sending off Bulls prop Joe Vagana. Bradford hung on to beat Wildcats 38-24. McNamara refused to be drawn on his thoughts surrounding Vagana's sending off but did defend the Kiwi prop's record. "Joe's one of the nicest and fairest players in the competition," he said. "His disciplinary record is exemplary. I don't think he's ever been sent off for foul play so hopefully the disciplinary process will take due course and he'll avoid suspension." In last game of August Bradford played Huddersfield Giants ,the Bulls’ top spot hopes suffered a setback at The Galpharm in an ill-disciplined and scrappy affair which saw a player from each side sent off. Bradford's Tame Tupou was sent off for punching on 63 minutes while Giants prop Keith Mason saw red soon after for striking Glenn Morrison. Bradford lost 26-22
In September, to celebrate their Centenary Season, T & A Bradford's local paper are commissioning a team of the century (see below for details). Bradford Bulls will play Leeds Rhinos in an all star match of touch rugby, Deryk Fox, Karl Fairbank, James Lowes etc. will turn out for the Bulls while the likes of Gary Schofield, Lee Crookes and Dave Heron etc. will turn out for the Rhinos, the game was be played before Round 25 game between Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos, A last-gasp James Evans try rescued Bradfords centenary celebrations giving them a 16 all draw as Leeds threatened to ruin their party. Bradford Signed Paul Sykes from Harlequins and Other poised to move to Odsal include Wakefield duo Ben Jeffries and Semi Tadulala, along with Huddersfield centre or second row Chris Nero and Hull hooker Wayne Godwin, while the Bulls are also being linked with Salford loose forward Simon Finnigan. Bradford Announced that players Nathan McAvoy, Marcus St Hilaire and Chris McKenna would not be retained for 2008. Other players leaving at the end of the year are Ian Henderson, Ben Harris, they are both going to play in the NRL in Australia for New Zealand Warriors and North Queensland Cowboys respectively. The last home match of the weekly rounds in 2007 was against Catalans Dragons, the Bulls will be hoping to gain revenge for the defeat in March. Stacey Jones played his last game on British soil before retirement. Bradford ran in five second-half tries to ease past a lacklustre Catalans side and boost their slim hopes of securing second spot in the Super League table. Adel Fellous had handed the Dragons the early lead but tries from Terry Newton and Glenn Morrison turned it around. Iestyn Harris went on to score 16 points, with further tries from Newton, Joe Vagana, David Solomona, Dave Halley and Nathan McAvoy sealing an easy win. McAvoy's score was of particular relief to the winger, who will be released by the Bulls at the end of the campaign, as he avoided a naked run around Odsal's pitch - the traditional punishment for any Bradford player who fails to touch down during an entire season. The average attendance for home matches was 12,084. The last game of the regular Super League Season was against Hull F.C.,In a game where Shontayne Hape made his comeback after 6 months out. Bradfords Tries Came from Tame Tupou and David Solomona but Bradford were defeated 20-10 even though they dominated for large periods. McNamara said: "We played well but just didn't put many points on the board. "It was a very tough game for round 27 of the competition. There was a bit to play for both sides and it proved a really testing match. "We were physical and defensively we were very strong. There was lots of positive signs out there. "I'm disappointed we didn't get the win but I'm not disappointed with some of the stuff we produced. "Obviously, some things do need improving. We just weren't quite good enough to finish Hull off and fair play to them. "They defended superbly, were very tough and tenacious and managed to scrap some points from our errors and hacking on some kicks." Bradford finished third for a third successive year and will now face either Huddersfield or Brian Noble's Wigan in a play-off eliminator at Grattan Stadium Bradford finished 3rd in the final super league 12 standings, and will play Wigan Warriors in the first week of play offs. The game will see the Bulls play against the team coached by former coach Brian Noble in which the Bulls lost, Bulls were 30-6 up but Wigan fought back to win 31-30.They will be talking about that result for years to come; it's worse than the "wide to west" debacle.
The Grand Final will be held at Old Trafford on 13 October.
